Always wanted to learn how to fix things around the house but didn’t know where to start? You asked, and we have delivered! GCDA are teaming up with Flower Skills, a local construction skills training provider, to offer this BRAND NEW Basic DIY Skills course; the perfect introduction to practical home maintenance tasks — no prior experience needed. You'll cover essential skills such as: Health & Safety basics Safe use of hand and power tools Tiling and replacing damaged tiles Patch repairs in plasterboard Basic plumbing (e.g. replacing taps and washers) Hanging doors and fitting handles/locks Putting up shelves Painting techniques Repointing brickwork All you need to bring is enthusiasm and ideally a pair of steel toe-capped boots, but these, along with everything else can be provided.
